Michelle de Kretser
Michelle de Kretser was born in Sri Lanka and lives in Australia. Her fiction is published across the anglophone world as well as in translation. Her most recent novel, Theory & Practice, won the 2025 Stella Prize and the 2025 Prime Minister's Literary Award. Her 2003 novel The Hamilton Case has recently been re-issued in Text Classics.
