bad apple: Spoiled Fruit launch party

  • Meow 9 Edward Street Wellington, Wellington, 6011 New Zealand (map)

Leave a bad apple long enough and what do you get? Juicy, juicy spoiled fruit. Join editors Damien Levi and Amber Esau in celebration as they launch Spoiled Fruit, an anthology of 40 poems by 20 queer poets, and the first book from online LGBTQIA+ literary journal bad apple. This opening night extravaganza will feature readings from local poets and stars of the book: kate aschoff, Cadence Chung, Rhys Feeney, Kyra Lawler, Casey Lucas, Jackson McCarthy, Hannah Patterson, Amy Marguerite and sylvan spring. If that wasn't enough to tempt you along, Cadence will also debut a new song cycle, Three Spells, which sets to music Jackson's eponymous poems, performed by Jackson on flute, Tomairangi Henare, baritone, and Ethan Rawhiti-Hotter, piano.

Every bad apple is going to be there, some come along and spoil the bunch.

A discounted ‘Ticket + Book’ pre-order bundle is available for this event. If purchased, your copy of Spoiled Fruit will be available for pick-up from Unity Books’ table on the night (at Meow).
