Ticketed events
Notification 19 October 2021: Due to COVID 19 restrictions we have made a number of changes to some times and locations to some events. All ticket buyers have been notified. The website information is up to date and correct. You can view the updated Festival weekend timetable here.
All tickets can be found on our website at each event listing (see our Festival 2021 page for a list of events). You can also get tickets directly via our ticketing provider Humanitix.
Door sales will are available in most cases, unless the event is sold out.
COVID, Level 2, and You:
Festival events will go ahead in Alert Levels 1 and 2. We are currently only releasing tickets for Level 2 capacities in our venues. We will release more tickets if we get to Level 1 in time for the festival.
LitCrawl & Newtown Sunday Stroll
Under Level 2, LitCrawl and Newtown Sunday Stroll will be pre-registration events which means you need to register to get a spot. Event capacities will be limited! Registrations open on Monday evening 11 October. You must purchase a minimum of two registrations per event. This is so that we can ensure that we can plan social distancing at each venue to secure your safety and the safety of our artists. If we get to Level 1 in time for the festival then those who have pre-registered will get priority entry into LitCrawl events. Level 2 is a fiscally challenging environment for Verb so we do appreciate any amount you can manage from $5 per person when you register for your LitCrawl and Newtown Sunday Stroll events.
For pre-registration events (LitCrawl, Newtown Sunday Stroll, Free events): We ask that you alert us as soon as possible if you have registered but can no longer attend: not showing up isn't fair on our artists or to those who would have taken your space.
If you are unwell please do not come to an event, we are happy to refund tickets in those circumstances.
If you live outside of Wellington and you buy tickets but then can’t travel due to Covid we will refund you.
Concession options: There is a student / unwaged price for most events which you can select when you go to purchase your ticket online (concession).
You don’t have to print: On the day of the event you can just show your ticket receipt to our ushers using your phone (you don’t have to print them).
