Ruby Solly (Kai Tahu) is a writer, musician and taonga puoro practitioner living in Pōneke. She has been published in journals such as Landfall, Turbine, Sport and Columbia and was featured in Best New Zealand Poems 2019.

Her first album ‘Pōneke’ which features taonga puoro and cello recorded in different environments around Wellington, was released in 2020. Her first book of poetry ‘Tōku Pāpā is being released by Victoria University Press in early 2021.
