Rosa Elliott is a Christchurch-based composer and conductor, and is currently completing her MMus in composition at the University of Auckland. She has had her works performed by several choirs including the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir, New Zealand Youth Choir, Bowling Green State University Women’s Choir, and Voices New Zealand. In 2017, Rosa was recognised as a winner of the New Zealand Trio Composition Competition for her piano trio Voices of the Air. Most recently Rosa was named a category winner of the inaugural Compose Aotearoa competition, and awarded the composer-in-residence position for Choirs Aotearoa. Rosa is also the 2020-21 young composer-in-residence for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
