Jess Richards is the author of three literary fiction novels which are published by Sceptre (Hachette). Her debut novel, Snake Ropes, was shortlisted for the Costa Awards in 2012. More recently, her third novel, City of Circles was shortlisted for the Kitschies Novel Award. She has also published short stories and poems in various literary anthologies. At the moment she is undertaking a creative practice PhD at Massey University, and is working on a hybrid art/writing project. Jess lives in Wellington with her wife, the novelist and artist, Sally J Morgan.
