Potentials of Indigenous Futures

  • BATS 1 Kent Terrace Wellington, Wellington, 6011 New Zealand (map)

The future is ours for the taking, but what shape will it take? Facilitated by Māori Literature Blog's Jordan, this panel will walk backwards into the future to explore the potentials ahead.

Visiting the worlds of Tīhema Baker's Turncoat, Kōtuku Titihuia Nuttall's Tauhou and Kahu Kutia's exploration of Māori futurisms through art, writing and her podcast He Kākano Ahau, the panel will discuss the many forms our future may take, and what they mean in context for Indigenous peoples.

This event is free to attend. Just turn up on the day, or register below to secure a spot.

This event is part of the The Kaituhi Chronicle: Whakapapa Vibes, an afternoon of free events co-curated by the Māori programmers of Verb Readers and Writers Festival 2023.
