As the world around us gets hotter and political (and sometimes personal) tension rises, how can we bring our rage into our writing in a way that is useful? Can we write poems about what makes us angry without letting rage overwhelm the poem?

In this workshop we will look at some poetic models, generate new work, and discuss how we can write about rage while still giving the reader space to inhabit the poem. Can we craft something subtle with our strong feeling, and find catharsis rather than cliché?

Bring your rage, your observations, and your pens!

Light refreshments included at all workshops.
